Lam’s design captures the master bathroom’s potential by streamlining high-use zones with the DuraStyle wall-mounted vanity, which is complemented by two Foster washbowls.

Designers Bronwyn Breitner and Luigi Ciaccia of Brooklyn, N.Y.-based 590BC impressed the jury with their renovation of a 1923 bath that included the use of Duravit’s Starck 3 Toilet, Starck Bathtub and Vero Washbasin.

“In this project, we saw exactly how modern pieces could be used to enhance traditional design spaces,” said Schroeder.
Unbuilt Honorable Mention
Honorable Mention winner of the Unbuilt category, Wayne Turett of The Turett Collaborative, played with the symbiotic relationship between living and washing spaces and incorporated the Cape Cod freestanding bathtub, as well as an L-Cube vanity.
Unbuilt Honorable Mention
Honorable Mention winner, Brooklyn, N.Y.-based Oliver Valle, used mirrors and simple lines for a space-saving, spa-like bath.

Melinda O’Connor of Philadelphia-based Melinda Kelson O’Connor Design, LLC, transformed a narrow footprint with Duravit’s Happy D.2 washbasin and Architect series bathtub.
