Even with 16-ft.-high ceilings, this dated kitchen lacked proper lighting as well as a functional stove and oven. Designer Cynthia Smith came in to transform the dated space into the client’s vision of a Chicago high-rise condo.
By keeping the layout in the same place, the cost in plumbing and electricity decreased.

“She wanted it to be easy, contemporary and without clutter,” said Smith. “It should be open and airy with just a lot of light.”
