Sub-Zero and Wolf recently announced the addition of a "Green Kitchen" course, the newest offering in the company's continuing education series that focuses on energy efficiency and healthy living. The free courses will be offered through a distance-learning program as an educational tool for designers and dealers who want to retain professional certification, maximize their skills and enhance their knowledge.
The new course focuses on a variety of topics related to designing a green kitchen. Some of the main concepts covered are net-zero energy and the need for energy from renewable resources; an overview of the green residence; design details that make refrigerator, cooking and exhaust systems more or less efficient; and the problem of negative air pressure.
"The addition of this course to our continuing education series reinforces our commitment to the environment, as well as to the design community," said Paul Leuthe, corporate marketing manager for Sub-Zero and Wolf. "This course is just one more way that Sub-Zero and Wolf strive to take a leadership role in the industry."
Additional Sub-Zero and Wolf's continuing education courses include: Design Elements of Winning Residential Kitchens, Residential Kitchen Ventilation, Sophisticated Residential Cooking Appliances and Sophisticated Residential Refrigeration Appliances. All courses are certified by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) and once completed, provide members with 0.1 Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit.
