New York's Rockefeller Center has a new attraction, for a few days anyway! From today through July 24,
House Beautiful's second annual Kitchen of the Year will offer design ideas and cooking demos and give visitors the opportunity to experience, in person, a dream designer kitchen.

Inspired by Ina Garten, the Food Network's Barefoot Contessa, best-selling cookbook author and
House Beautiful contributing editor, and designed by Robert Stilin, who is known for his warm, comfortable, contemporary style, the 1,000-sq.-ft. kitchen (with a 1,000-sq.-ft. outdoor entertaining space) explores how today's kitchens can nourish, excite and inspire. Visitors will see firsthand Garten's signature style: a kitchen where guests want to gather, linger and talk, and where functionality and solutions for cooking enthusiasts abound.

What's more, guests will be able to check out products from a host of manufacturers, including KraftMaid, CaesarStone, Viking, Kohler and Cuisinart (all of which will donate select products and materials to Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk's ReStore program), and enjoy (for a nominal fee) Tastes of Summer, a sampling of food and beverages from some of New York City's most renowned restaurants, such as The Sea Grill, Morrell Wine Bar & Café, AJ Maxwell's, Magnolia Bakery and Rock Center Café.
The Kitchen of the Year exhibit will be open from 2 pm to 4 pm on July 20 and from 9 am to 5 pm from July 21 to 24. Tastes of Summer will take place from 11 am to 2 pm from July 21 to 23.
