An upcoming HGTV holiday special,
Carter Comes Home, will spotlight not only the hunky and handy carpenter, Carter Oosterhouse, but also the
Fagor 36-in. Stainless Steel Wall Mounted Range Hood as the energy-efficient ventilation appliance of choice. Air dates for this upcoming special are December 24 at 2 pm (EST) and December 25 at 9 am (EST).
In this episode, Oosterhouse goes back to his hometown of Traverse City, MI, to spend the holidays with his family and give back to the city.
The Traverse City Firehouse #2 kitchen received an eco-friendly makeover resulting in a new kitchen that is as aesthetically pleasing as it is environmentally friendly.
The makeover incorporates Fagor's 36-in. Stainless Steel Wall Mounted Range Hood, which combines a sleek design style with a variety of convenient features, such as four speed settings, a 10-minute delay option and removable filters that are dishwasher-safe and come with a wash indicator. The hood also offers a heat sensor overload protection system and electronic touch controls that are easy to operate and clean.
In keeping with the eco-friendly theme of the firehouse renovation, the range hood, as well as all of Fagor’s appliances, was manufactured using environmentally conscious compliance standards. These include
RoHs (restriction of hazardous substances) in all of the major appliance offerings, as well as ISO factory certification for environmentally sound practices. Fagor's parent company has been a recipient of numerous European environmental awards and certifications and is an active participant in a joint initiative to reduce C02 emissions in the Basque countryside of Spain. In the U.S., Fagor is an Energy Star Partner as well as a member of the U.S. Green Building Council.
