Part of a major home remodel, this 18-ft. x 24-ft. kitchen in Saddle River, NJ, was designed by Amir Ilin, of Küche + Cucina, to function as the hub of family life and entertaining. Completely open in plan, it adjoins a living room and includes a 20-ft.-tall sloped ceiling, both of which presented challenges. Undaunted by the abundance of space and the lack of walls, Ilin created a layout that not only responds to the needs of the homeowners but also preserves the free-flowing quality of the room.
