While white kitchens may seem a dime a dozen, this 84-sq.-ft. remodel by Beverley Binns, of Binns kitchen+bath design, caught the judges’ attention with its cool contemporary attitude and creative use of space and form. A centerpiece for an urban townhouse in Toronto that was gutted to “the bare bones,” it not only serves as a hub for everyday life and entertaining, but also lends excitement and much-needed definition to an extremely open-plan home.
