American Standard CEO Appointed to LIXIL Board

July 04, 2014

American Standard Brands announced that president and CEO Jay Gould has been appointed to the board of directors of LIXIL Corporation, the parent company of American Standard. The appointment was confirmed at the June gathering of LIXIL's Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders.

Gould joined American Standard Brands in January 2012. Over the course of the next 18 months, Gould executed a plan that grew sales by 10 percent and improved gross margins by 700 basis points. Prior to American Standard, Gould was president of the Home and Family Group of Newell Rubbermaid, taking a consumer-driven approach to building demand and significantly increasing revenues for the Company's Levolor, Calphalon, Rubbermaid and Graco brands throughout the economic downturn. Preceding Newell Rubbermaid, Gould held senior executive roles at the Campbell Soup Company, the Coca-Cola Company and General Mills, Inc.
