May 28, 2010

The West Coast has a new resource! Artistic Tile founder and CEO Nancy Epstein recently announced the opening of an Architectural & Design Studio in San Francisco. Branded as an Artistic Tile A&D Studio, it is located in Showplace East at 111 Rhode Island Street, Suite 15, in the Northern California design district.

"Artistic Tile is honored to join the collection of luxury companies in San Francisco providing tile and stone to the trade and consumers,” said Lauren Cherkas, Artistic Tile’s president. “Our unique ability to deliver custom sizes, patterns and finishes in a timely manner, as well as offering an enormous breadth of product, will be a fresh surprise to architects, designers, and homeowners alike who have become accustomed to lengthy lead times in our industry."

The new studio is a 1,300-sq.-ft. design library that will contain samples of Artistic Tile's more than 2,500 stocked products in stone, glass, ceramic and metal. In addition, the library includes hundreds of examples of the company’s selection of custom patterns manufactured in their Secaucus, NJ, production facility. The studio will offer the option of either selecting swatch card samples to bring to clients or the using the marble-top worktables specifically designed to accommodate blueprints for in-studio consultations.

To ensure a smooth opening, California native Pam Katz will be the studio’s manager and West Coast brand ambassador. With more than 12 years at Country Floors and two years at Blackman Cruz, Katz has vast tile design knowledge and experience gained through regular collaboration with architects and designers on high-end residential and commercial projects.

By appointment only, the A&D Studio is open from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
