Bio-Glass Receives Red Dot Award

Bio-Glass by Coverings ETC., a material made from 100-percent recycled glass gathered from recycling centers was awarded the "red dot" label for high design quality. The awards presentation will take place on July 5, 2010 in Essen, Germany, and Bio-Glass will be included in a four-week exhibition at the red dot design museum on the premises of the Zollverein Colliery.
 
Bio-Glass is made from glass recycled from beer bottles, wine bottles, water bottles and stemware, and is available in white, light green, dark green, blue and brown. The material can be used for countertops, partitions, facades and other decorative surfaces.

This year, designers and companies from 57 nations with a total of 4,252 products took part in the Red Dot Award: Product Design. The exhibition of the winning products will be on display from July 6 to August 1, 2010.
