DPHA Launches OneSource

October 01, 2012

The Decorative Plumbing and Hardware Association (DPHA) has launched a new digital platform known as OneSource. The new digital community provides users with three online tools to help them promote their businesses as well as connect and learn from each other.

The system was designed to be used by showrooms, manufacturers, sales representatives and designers. OneSource is composed of three distinct components: DirectSource, LuxurySource and ShowroomSource.

DirectSource is designed to provide a direct connection between showroom professionals and vendors to improve communication and offer easy sharing of documents, training videos, marketing materials, and artwork. Showrooms can search for answers to product questions and use online templates to create custom presentations and proposals. Manufacturers can post advice and quickly communicate with showrooms across the country. Both sides can join discussion groups, leave and respond to feedback, and share professional insights.

LuxurySource helps members build their online brand and reputation by acting as an industry search engine. Participating users will be able to publish posts on the site, contribute as a guest blogger, discuss completed projects and publicize products, sales and other news. This site can be used by industry members as well as consumers.

ShowroomSource is designed to replace physical catalogs with an online catalog that is automatically updated by manufacturers. Showrooms can offer customers tablets or laptops on which they can view digital images and watch product videos.

DPHA officials are planning to use the upcoming Annual Conference and Product Showcase (October 4-6 in Chicago) to introduce OneSource more fully to the attendees. “If we continue doing business the old way, we’re not going to be around in a few years,” said David Crossley, DPHA president. “This year’s conference theme is ‘Design Changes Everything.’ The entire event is designed to provide all attendees with the education, hard data, and relationships they need to not only survive the change to come, but to be drivers of it in a way that puts them in the lead.”
