NAHB Accepting Applications for Best of 50+ Housing Awards

August 14, 2012

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) 50+ Housing Council is now accepting applications for the 2013 Best of 50+ Housing Awards, which honor excellence in building, design, marketing and lifestyle of housing for boomers and beyond. A panel of industry professionals will judge entries in a total of 44 award categories.

“The Best of 50+ Housing Awards are this industry's most influential national awards,” said W. Don Whyte, 50+ Housing Council chairman. “The demand for 50+ housing will continue to grow as the baby boomer generation—the largest growing group of buyers that we have ever seen in this age group—approaches retirement, and these awards honor those builders and developers who truly have the needs and wants of the mature buyer and renter in mind.”

All builders, developers, marketers and designers of 50+ housing are invited to enter the competition. The winners will be announced at the NAHB International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas on January 23, 2013.

Information on entry applications, payment and all other materials can be found on the 50+ Housing Council Awards website. For additional questions, contact Lynn Basso at pbasso@nahb.org or 800-368-5242 x8130.
