NKBA Student Award Winners Announced
February 01, 2008
The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) has announced the winners of its 2007/2008 Student Design Competition. Sponsored by American Woodmark Corporation and Sub-Zero/Wolf, the competition challenged young designers to create a functional kitchen or bath with natural finishes that complement the architectural style of a Spanish ranch home under construction in Texas.
The students' work had to meet the specific requirements of the homeowners, newlyweds whose diverse, and sometimes conflicting, interests and tastes had to be reflected in each room. The winning designs include the use of natural or recycled materials, as well as kid-friendly amenities. The following eight winners' designs were chosen from among hundreds of entries.
