2011 AWFS Fair Targets Small Shops

November 23, 2010

Based on feedback from previous show attendees, the Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers (AWFS) has created a new educational track for the 2011 College of Woodworking Knowledge (CWWK) program, Small Shops Ten & Under, targeting the needs of those with ten employees or fewer.
The development of the CWWK program was led by an industry-wide advisory committee, which is chaired by Philip Martin of Hafele America Company. The committee is comprised of representatives from manufacturers of machinery and related tooling, software, millwork, hardware, wood products and independent furniture makers and the trade press.
The CWWK will offer eight educational tracks in total, including Business Management, Cabinet & Millwork, Software & Technology, Techniques & Applications, Handcrafted Furniture, Safety & Environment, Teacher Track and the new Small Shops Ten & Under.
Classes will begin on July 19, 2011, and continue throughout the four days of the AWFS Fair.  For more information, visit the AWFS Fair website.
