Go 3-D With Merillat and DeNova

June 23, 2010

Merillat Cabinetry and DeNova countertops are introducing 3-D product model collections available in the Google 3D Warehouse. With hundreds of models to choose from, designers and architects can select from a range of styles and color options to design any kitchen.

More than 500 Merillat 3-D cabinet models are available, while DeNova is offering models from its quartz surfaces collection. “With the addition of these two brands to the Google 3D Warehouse, architects and their clients can more easily determine what product options will work best,” said Mark Johnson, FAIA, director of architect relations and education for Merillat and DeNova.

The Merillat and DeNova 3-D models are modeled as Google Dynamic Components, allowing designers to show clients a virtual kitchen, bath, home office or laundry room design with animated cabinet doors and drawers. The cabinets and countertops can be sized and resized to any of the brands’ available dimensions. Users can also access specification information embedded within each model and link back to each brand’s website for more information.

To get started using Google SketchUp and Merillat and DeNova 3-D model offerings, download the free or professional version of SketchUp Version 7 from Google. The 3-D product models can be downloaded from the Google 3D Warehouse by searching “Collections” using the key words, “Merillat” or “DeNova Surfaces.”
