KraftMaid Cabinetry Launches Education Series on YouTube

April 23, 2010

KraftMaid Cabinetry has launched an Education Channel on YouTube to help architects and designers stay current with the latest design technology. The company's first video offerings are a series of Google SketchUp screencasts and digital videos explaining how to use Google SketchUp and the collection of more than 1,000 three-dimensional KraftMaid cabinet models in the Google 3D Warehouse.

The series consists of several 90-second videos with tips for a variety of digital design-related topics, such as how to download and install the free version of Google SketchUp, how to access KraftMaid's catalog of three-dimensional cabinet models and how advanced users can create client presentations to help sell their kitchen, home or multifamily designs.

“These video screencasts make it easy for designers to learn and use free and affordable design software from Google, along with KraftMaid’s new 3D cabinet models,” said Mark Johnson, FAIA, director of sales & marketing education at KraftMaid Cabinetry. “We’re committed to helping the design community leverage our 3D cabinet collections for design, presentations and the specification process.”

The KraftMaid Education Channel can be accessed from a computer, smart phone or the new Apple iPad. To access the screencasts, go online and view the KraftMaid Education playlist.
