Marble Institute Of America Has Conducted New Survey

June 16, 2010

The Marble Institute of America (MIA) has conducted one of most complete surveys it has ever undertaken of the natural stone industry in the U.S. A joint project of MIA and the Hudson Economics Group, the 2010 International Survey of the Natural Stone Industry is now available for purchase.

"In these tough economic times, this survey will identify current trends and future opportunities for companies in the stone business and those supplying the industry," said Gary Distelhorst, executive Vice President and CEO of MIA.

The survey of industry trends is based on the current economic environment and is supported by face-to-face interviews conducted at Coverings 2010 in Orlando, Fl. The hundreds of interviews completed at the trade show resulted in an analytical look at the natural stone market in the United States.
Survey topics will include best practices for building a stone business in the current economic environment, best geographic areas for doing business, the current competitive keys to success, and how stone companies are currently performing against the competition.

The price for the survey is $500.  The survey can be ordered on the MIA website or by calling the institute at 440-250-9222.
