New App Gives Access to Kitchen and Bath Professionals

May 20, 2011

The Kitchen & Bath Channel has released its smart phone app, which will provide homeowners with immediate access to more than 15,000 kitchen and bath and remodeling professionals.

The free app can be downloaded for Android, iPhone, and BlackBerry and uses smart phone geo-location services to locate professionals within a 50-mile radius of the user’s current location. Additionally, the app has a multifunction search engine that allows searches in more than 10 different ways, including by room to be remodeled, product and professional specialty.

The Kitchen & Bath Channel is a joint venture between Max Isley, CMKBD, of Hampton Kitchens, and Philip D. Zaleon, founder and president of Z promotion & design. “After almost 40 years of kitchen and bath sales, it was clear to me that consumers spend a lot of time researching kitchen and bath firms, often taking the recommendation of friends, neighbors or family members,” said Isley. “Frequently, this initial research results in frustrating or incorrect choices. As they exit the doors of the firm they thought they would use, the need to visit additional firms is obvious. In the distant past, they grabbed the Yellow Pages... today it’s the mobile phone. And this app allows the kitchen and bath professional to get their message into the hands of consumer while they were out shopping, in the buying mode and in the area,”

“As the latest tools in the Kitchen & Bath Channel marketing suite, the website provides the consumer a comprehensive research tool, while the mobile apps provide the ability for instant ongoing research while shopping,” said Zaleon. “The kitchen and bath professional has the ability to post videos and photos to the app, while hyperlinking their address to Google maps for instant directions, their phone number for one-touch dialing, and their web address and email account. There has never been a more direct route to a kitchen and bath professional.”
