WestEdge Design Fair Makes Debut in California

September 06, 2013

The WestEdge Design Fair will debut at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., October 3-6, 2013. The four-day event will feature 150 exhibiting brands, and attendees will be able to view furniture, lighting, kitchen, bath, outdoor furnishings and other products for the home. The fair will offer a full design experience, complete with custom installations, a series of special events and discussions, panels and workshops on various design topics and trends.
“For years, our clients and partners have encouraged us to expand with the launch of a design fair on the West Coast,” said Megan Reilly, WestEdge Design Fair co-founder. “Given the demand for such an event, coupled with Los Angeles’ reputation as a premier design hub, we felt the time was right to pursue the opportunity.”

On Thursday, October 3, WestEdge will celebrate its opening night with a venue-wide cocktail party attended by members of the design community including interior designers, architects, art directors, artists, set decorators, educators and gallery owners. The evening will benefit Heal the Bay, one of Southern California’s environmental nonprofit organizations.
The WestEdge Design Fair will host a comprehensive schedule of panels and workshops in a theater outfitted by Benjamin Moore. In sponsoring the fair’s theater, Benjamin Moore will also present two weekend programs: one focused on sustainable living and another on color inspiration. Additional topics include The Business (and Value) of Design, Technology & Design, Elements of the Perfect Beach House, High-Luxe Real Estate, The Art of Shopping Design Online and more.
