Panasonic Ventilation Products Now Available Through Autodesk Seek

December 7, 2015

Panasonic Eco Solutions of North America has announced Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities with Autodesk Seek, which will provide designers, architects, builders and contractors a better platform to plan, design, build, and manage ventilation projects.

Autodesk Seek is an online tool that helps designers quickly discover, preview and download high-quality 3D information. With Panasonic’s full suite of high performance ventilation fans included, the building community can now research and integrate a total ventilation solution on one platform. Designed for use with Autodesk Revit software, Autodesk Seek helps designers find high-quality BIM files, as well as 2D drawing and product specifications ready for use in a Revit building model.

“Panasonic is pleased to be incorporated into the Autodesk Seek platform,” said Patricia Monks, product manager, Panasonic Eco Solutions. “With 80 percent of the market already using Autodesk Seek, architects and specifiers are able to see how our ventilation fans work in the systems they are considering for a home or a building. We are thrilled that we are able to help simplify project planning for the building community by providing BIM modeling for our products.”

The use of BIM extends the building life cycle and saves time and money for designers, developers and owners. BIM empowers construction professionals to bring ideas from concept to construction with a coordinated and consistent modeling based approach, which means no downtime during the design phase from needed specs or other information. Panasonic BIM applications are available online at seek.autodesk.com for architects, engineers and contractors.
