The Canyon Creek Cabinet Company has remodeled its retail showroom in Spokane, Wash. The previously outdated displays were reconfigured to give a more inviting and warm feeling to customers, and the offices were moved to the upstairs floor to allow more room for floor displays.

“Adding the proper countertops, tile and lighting was a big plus for the new displays,” said Doug McIalwain, manager for the Spokane showroom. The 1,200-sq.-ft. space now has 13 new displays that showcase a variety of decorative hardware, accessories, finishes, finish enhancements and cabinet designs and styles.
“It’s always a challenge to be confident that the new product selections will be the right fit for our market place,” said McIalwain, adding that it was important that the design team remained flexible and understood that the actual end result would be susceptible to changes all the way through the process.
The showroom features all four of Canyon Creek’s product lines: Cornerstone (custom framed), Millennia (custom frameless), Katana (budget frameless) and Closets Plus (closet storage). Standard products are featured along with custom products to demonstrate the design potential.
“Working as a team to get the best ‘bang for our buck’ with the displays was a very positive learning experience for everyone,” said McIalwain. “The team also learned to design a showroom to display for the general public and not always adhere to their likes and dislikes.”
