Sub-Zero

November 19, 2009

Sub-Zero’s
revamped built-in refrigeration series is designed to reduce waste by
keeping food fresher longer. To discourage spoilage, a freshness
preservation system, which separately controls the temperature and
humidity of the refrigerator and freezer compartments, holds preset
temperatures within a plus-or-minus one-degree. The unit’s air
purification system “scrubs” the entire volume of air in the
refrigerator an average of once every 20 minutes, to reduce odors,
viruses, bacteria, and the ethylene gases that cause premature ripening
of some produce. The line also offers a freshness guide that provides
tips for properly storing fruits, vegetables and leftovers.
