This open and modern bath caters to a 94-year-old client who wanted more accessibility and comfort in her own space. Designer Paul Bentham, who was previously with Chevy Chase, Md.-based Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen and Bath, worked to change the floor plan, install stylish safety features and incorporate a luxurious look into the remodel.
This double vanity and the tall cabinets across from it include all the storage for which the client had hoped.
This windowsill provides not only additional storage space but also a place for the client to easily sit and dry off after a shower.
The shower features a barrier-free design that a walker or wheelchair can easily move in and out of.
The back wall of the bath is clad in a wavy gray tile to instill some contrast in to the space.
Wing walls were built to create toilet and shower areas, provide a place for tall storage and to hold plumbing.
