Even though this Fort Lauderdale, Fla., design was only three years old, the messy combination of mosaic tile, stone and low ceiling failed to give the owners the resort-like feel they wanted.
Taking inspiration from European designs and Miami’s Delano hotel, designer Reginald Dunlap of Luxe Interior Design and Finishing installed an entire wall of gold marble.

The freestanding tub and white glass flooring were two of the few remnants kept from the previous design because they help carry out the white palette.

Dunlap brought walnut paneling and a walnut vanity into the design to warm up the space.

“We wanted to apply something graphic to a very calm, elegant space,” said Dunlap, adding that the stripes are only visible inside of the toilet room.
