After a master bathroom was devastated by a burst pipe, designer Tammy Bolden of Montclair, N.J.-based Bold Interior Designs was charged with turning the disaster into her clients’ ideal space.
Since the footprint was already functional for the homeowners, Bolden kept all the fixtures in the same place but replaced the jetted tub with a freestanding unit. This both modernized the bath and freed up more square footage for a larger shower.
“My client wanted floating vanities that had plenty of storage, and her husband wanted a sleek design,” said Bolden.
Bolden fulfilled the husband’s minimalist taste with the modern freestanding tub, faucets and the Euro-style door fronts on the vanities.
The wife’s desire for glamour was granted with the glass chandelier and the glass backsplash tile.
“I was able to keep the budget in line by using big-box stores for the bath hardware – like towel bars and accessories – and by using lighting fixtures that were not expensive but gave a high-glamour look,” said the designer.
