Designed by Kara Karpenske of Blaine, Maine-based Kamarron Design, this master bath turned from a cramped space to a luxurious, spa-like haven without actually expanding the square footage.
Before the redesign, a bathtub, its built-in surround and the inefficient vanity layouts made the space seem much smaller than it actually was.
“The shower needed to be an open, airy space with a rain shower feature,” said Karpenske, adding that the Carrera marble tiles lend a spa-like feel to the space.
Pewter pulls contrast the natural materials, like the stone countertop and marble tiles.
Illuminated by elegant sconces, the oversized tile-framed mirrors help reflect the natural light from the window.
The makeup vanity, facing the window, is situated with a seated-height counter for makeup application.
