When a steel beam stopped designer Beth Clark of Portland, Ore.-based B. Clark Interior Design from incorporating the vanity she had planned, she worked within the confines and still created a welcoming focal area with ample light and room for both homeowners to use the space and not feel crowded.
Within its tone-on-tone gray palette, this bathroom features plenty of shade variation, texture and movement thanks to thoughtful tile selections paired with Sherwin-Williams Mindful Gray.
The vanity is the first area visible when entering the bathroom, and Clark wanted to make sure it had that wow factor.
Clark chose a simple chrome finish for the shower fixtures to complement the spectacular tile without drawing the eye away from it.
Placing the shower niches inside the exterior wall hides them from view outside the shower, maintaining an uncluttered look.
The large shower took the place of an old tub the homeowners did not use and freed up space in the water closet for storage.
Placing the mirrors on a wood shelf added interest to the vanity, where a variety of textures and tones meet.
