Designer Glenna Stone of Philadelphia-based Glenna Stone Interior Design was challenged to transform a small kitchen in a historical home into a clean and timeless space.
The original kitchen in this 1893-dated home was small, closed in and had a dysfunctional layout.
To add a touch of color to the classic white kitchen, the design team used a soft blue ceramic tile for the backsplash.
Cabinetry was added right by the back entrance to make unloading groceries easier.
“I love figuring out the optimal way to design small spaces,” said Stone. “They are always a challenge, in a fun way! I presented a variety of options to our client, and we landed on my favorite plan.”
