With the opportunity to replan the kitchen from scratch, Studio M Kitchen & Bath jettisoned the space-consuming old walk-in pantry in favor of an open, inviting beverage center area and built-in pantry cabinets with pullout shelving.

The refrigerator features glass-over-stainless front panels and a windowed drawer designed for storing beverages. The appliance is placed at the border of the working kitchen and the entertainment/dining area.

Three cabinet finishes – paint at the crown molding, light strip and side panels, along with doors of textured laminate and cherry wood – use the neutral and natural color palette to harmonize the appearance of the kitchen. Gold-tone hardware pulls it all together.

Discovery of existing ductwork precluded the installation of an undercounter beverage refrigerator. The alternative solution comprises a pullout bottle storage unit and a new shallow base cabinet.
