Designer Steven Cooper of Hollywood, Calif.-based Cooper Pacific Designs had the challenge of outfitting a penthouse suite with a mix of moody palettes, hidden technology and artistic flair.
Behind frameless, stone oak cabinets, appliances and fun components like this chic cigar cabinet – made entirely of Spanish cedar – offer state-of-the-art technology.
“The client doesn’t cook, so it was important to camouflage the technology while being mindful about space and dimension,” said Cooper.
The elongated island features standalone burners from Pitt Cooking, which have all the functional technology hidden underneath the countertops.
The combination of antique tapestries, dark cabinetry and rugged concrete countertops creates a sultry, modern industrial look.
“The client likes to entertain, but when home alone, they wanted a more artistic look that didn’t focus on seeing technology everywhere,” said Cooper.
