Designers Michael Winn and Jennifer Hall of Arlington, Va.-based Winn Design + Build were brought in to modernize this 1940s-dated home with classic colors and a touch of personality.
Navy blue cabinetry combines with quartz countertops and a white tile backsplash for a classic appeal.
“White and navy blue with wood touches in the flooring and island created an inviting, cozy, transitional kitchen,” said Hall.
The navy blue floating shelves lend airiness to the small space.
“The homeowner’s preference was to use color; they wanted to express creative choices,” said Winn, referring to their choice in the poppy-red vanity. “The colors in the bathroom give a bold brightness to the traditional black-and-white tile.”
According to the design team, their favorite part was using a non-traditional cabinetry color that most clients would be hesitant to commit to and enjoy.
