One family looking for a mountain retreat turned to designer Angelica Henry of Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Angelica Henry Design to bring a rustic modernity into their log cabin.
Before the redesign, the kitchen was cramped and dated, with no connection to the nearby living spaces.
Now the kitchen boasts bespoke elements like a butcher-block countertop, a classic stove and an icebox.
The chiseled granite farmhouse sink looks out on the nearby porch, which can be easily accessed through a folding window.
In the master bathroom, the freestanding tub lends a vintage look to the space because of its curved shape and antique-look faucet. An adjacent fireplace keeps the bathroom cozy in the colder months.
The vanity showcases a soapstone counter, and the sinks are reminiscent of a chiseled stone but are actually a durable porcelain.
The shower soapstone slabs boast a pattern reminiscent of tree branches to tie into the view outside the windows.
