Designed by Christy Bowen of Twelve Stones Design in collaboration with Realty Restoration, this space transformed from a narrow, one-cook kitchen into a bright, functional room.
The 45-degree angle of the island and its curved countertop mimics an arch, since a complete arch would not have fit in the space.
Subtle eyebrow arches in the upper glass cabinetry echoes the island and gives the space a feminine touch.
A curved, glass canopy hood completes the arched motif.
A slab of Calcutta Blue marble ties the palette together with striking veining pattern.
The kitchen connects to the living and informal dining areas with its white and soft blue palette.
The chrysanthemum pattern tile backsplash gives the palette a touch of glitter and an organic feel.
“The way we manipulated the existing space was very creative,” said Bowen. “It feels so much bigger than before and is incredibly functional.”
