Everyone loves a classic white kitchen. Nar Bustamante of Carmichael, Calif.-based Nar Fine Cabinetry took the request for one and put in a twist for an original look with French flair and a sense of the eclectic.
Two islands allow for separate functions and for a figure eight pattern of traffic throughout the space.
From the living room, the waterfall edges of marble around the second island give the appearance of a solid block of marble. This material connects with the home’s old French feel and gives more texture to the white palette.
Above the island, the unique chandelier bridges the archway and centers the space.
The layout of the space allows for two workstations, and each sink has an adjacent countertop space for prepping and cleaning up, as well as its own trash pullout nearby.
The slim pieces of marble between the hood and the cabinetry connect the range with the heavy island and give the cabinetry a furniture-like feel.
The living space connects to the kitchen with marble and wood touches.
