Speaking to the Masses
This Boca Raton, Fla. new-build home was designed to sell. Completed by Marc-Michaels Interior Design, the home has a coastal feel intended to appeal to most everyone.
Designer Robin Sturm and the client disagreed about the lighting in the kitchen, since the client wanted pendants over both islands. They compromised with canned lights over the outside island.
Blurred cabinetry and a shared countertop connect the kitchen to the bar and the adjacent living room.
The design team outfitted two master baths – one for him and one for her. Shown here is the hers-master bath, complete with a freestanding tub and a dramatic curved, mosaic tile wall.
The “VIP suite” is meant to be a guest space, a ground-floor master or a mother-in-law suite. Floors made of island stone and a blue and white vanity complete the coastal look.
