For this three level row house in Washington, D.C., designer Bruce Wentworth of locally based Wentworth Design was asked to redesign the kitchen – finishing the renovation he began in the home with three bathrooms.
The homeowner hoped for a mid-century modern look that fit in her budget. The less expensive Silestone around the perimeter balances the waterfall edges around the island, made with marble.
The cooktop in the center of the island allows the homeowner to entertain guests while she cooks.
Open shelving helps keep the budget low while opening up the space.
This geometric backsplash, found by the homeowner, adds a pop of color and a personal touch to the space.
The neutral colors allow for the homeowner to incorporate her collection of Turkish rugs into the final design.
