Walker Zanger recently opened its new headquarters in Los Angeles, with designs led by Kim Bernard, Walker Zanger’s executive director of facilities design, and Los Angeles-based SRK Architects.
The design team made it a priority to integrate Walker Zanger’s materials into the building itself, as well as the furniture and fixtures.
Floor installations of collections such as Sterling Row and Blendart set the stage aside rotating tile pillars and vignettes.
The two-story lobby features a grand staircase and 20-ft.-diameter, custom-designed floor medallion made from a single piece of waterjet-cut limestone.
The 91,000-sq.-ft. indoor warehouse includes a Slab Gallery to showcase the newest and most popular stone slabs.
The Slab Gallery uses a 523-ft. indoor crane and a wire-guided order-picking system to allow for narrower aisles and more room for products.
