Silver: Residential Small Bathroom
“The goal for this 42.5-sq.-ft. space was to create an updated master bathroom with a classic and unique look. The bathroom needed to provide sufficient storage, convenience and ease of use. The clients required a luxurious and efficient bathroom, striking a balance between edginess and elegance.”
– Sheila Rich, Allied ASID, Sheila Rich Interiors, Monmouth Beach, N.J.

“Working with clients with distinctive and uncommon tastes is always a favorite. The pairing of the classical feel of marble tiles with the unique and edgy cabinetry delivers a timeless elegance and a renovated bathroom that is much more than utilitarian.” – Sheila Rich, Allied ASID, Sheila Rich Interiors, Monmouth Beach, N.J.

“The clients wanted their only first–floor bathroom, the powder room, to make a statement, wow guests and be a strong daily workhorse for their family of five. They wanted their petite room to have a big-impact look with a hushed palette.” – Sheila Rich, Allied ASID, Sheila Rich Interiors, Monmouth Beach, N.J.

“The space was very small, and the design choices for the décor had to be in harmony with the adjoining mudroom/hall. The powder room was slightly enlarged by borrowing space from the adjacent hall, leaving ample room for the mudroom to function effectively with a coordinated hall rack, bench and built-in storage. The extra space, as little as it was, made the powder room feel and perform more efficiently.” – Sheila Rich, Allied ASID, Sheila Rich Interiors, Monmouth Beach, N.J.

“This project stands out with the gorgeous mosaic tile used on the floor and in the shower. The center floor feature complements the octagonal dome in the ceiling. The center table draws you in while creating a focal point.” – Nancee Brown, ASID, Nancee Brown Interiors, Summit, N.J.

“My challenge was to create a space that meet all the clients requirements yet remained within the budget and space restraints. I was able to combine elegance with practicality, easily accommodating two people at the same time and loads of storage.” – Maria K. Bevill, Associate ASID, Maria K. Bevill Interior Design, Chester, N.J.

“I needed to solve these functional and style problems: not enough counter or storage space, a refrigerator blocking the basement door; the range hood didn’t exhaust to the outside; the sink was too small; and finally the style was not at all their aesthetic.” –Tracey Stephens, Allied ASID, Tracey Stephens Interior Design, Inc., Montclair, N.J.
Silver: Residential Large Kitchen
“The challenges of this renovation included commercial–grade appliances, functional storage space for cookware and equipment, an island with a prep sink and a separate bar/server. Building out was not an option, so coordination with the adjoining family room was a must.” – Sheila Rich, Allied ASID, Sheila Rich Interiors, Monmouth Beach, N.J.

“The kitchen bridges everyday function with practical elegance and stress-free care. A hushed palette including textural elements and five different monochromatic marble patterns in the backsplash throughout the space and at the bar enhance the quiet ambience.” – Sheila Rich, Allied ASID, Sheila Rich Interiors, Monmouth Beach, N.J.

“The objective was to create a contemporary kitchen that would serve as an ideal place for this jet-setting couple who love to entertain. It was important that there be ample workspace for caterers to work, as well as smart storage so that everything had a place behind closed doors.” -Anna Maria Mannarino, Allied ASID, Mannarino Designs, Inc., Holmdel, N.J.

“Centered on the back wall at the end of the island is a cooktop over a wall oven flanked by generous pot drawers. Above that is a pair of black, textured glass wall cabinets on either side of the hood, floating among the sea of agate. Honed black absolute granite was used for the countertop on this wall, as well as the sections of counter inside three of the tall cabinets.” -Anna Maria Mannarino, Allied ASID, Mannarino Designs, Inc., Holmdel, N.J.

“The home was a resale, and the new owners wanted a larger kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances, plenty of storage and an interesting use of materials. The goal was to design the space with all the appliances they needed, plenty of storage and a design that was not only serviceable but beautifully memorable for these discerning clients.” – Karla Trincanello, Allied ASID, Interior Decisions, Inc., Florham Park, N.J.

“The new back wall – once the laundry room – became a focal feature devoted just to the range-top area. This effect was emphasized by the ventilation hood, which appeared wider because it is sheathed in stainless steel and is flanked by two upper cabinets.” – Karla Trincanello, Allied ASID, Interior Decisions, Inc., Florham Park, N.J.
