Takeaways from the Coverings Connected 2020
Habitat from ADEX USA offers colors in matte and glossy finishes for subtle movement and a multi-tone aesthetic in an artisan-style tile. Shown here is Habitat in matte graphite.
Dstone Ash Lekue from Aparici is a non-slip tile with a natural stone appeal. It is available in a variety of sizes and shapes, including large-format tile, mosaic tiles and hexagonal tiles. Shown here is DStone Ash Lekue Natural in a 75-cm by 99-cm tile.
From Arcana, the Gades Series of wall tile boasts a minimalist aesthetic and three looks, including Zadar, Taroko-R and Nameri-R. All are available in a rectified 32-cm by 99-cm format and in three colors: gray, beige and anthracite. Shown here is the Taroko-R wall tile in gray.
The Zelij tile from Cevica follows the Moroccan tradition of carved handmade tiles with intense colors and variation with the tones of each. The tiles are available in 4-in. by 4-in. sizes and are for wall use only.
The Granada Series of tile from Decocer presents unique colors made from the predominant composition of white clay and a layer of vitreous enamel on the top. Finished with the reactive glaze, each tile contains unique nuances that make each feel handmade. Shown here is Alhambra.

Delice from Gayafores is a renewed interpretation of traditional hydraulic tile. Delice is available in the colors like natural (shown here), gray and almond and in two formats, 1-in. by 1-in. and 5-in. by 5-in.
From Equipe, Matelier draws inspiration from clay and is reminiscent of potter’s studios, plaster and handcrafted finishes. The collection is available in two formats, 7.5-cm by 15-cm and 7.5-cm by 30-cm, and 10 colors, including Samoa Blue, shown here.
Toscana from Geotiles gives the look of natural marble with warm, bright veining and a polished finish. Sizes include 12-in. by 24-in., 24-in. by 24-in. 35.4-in. by 35.4-in., 24-in. by 48-in. and 48-in by 48-in.
From Halconera, the Tiziano collection of rectified porcelain tiles echoes the look of classic Calacatta marble. Available in 12-in. by 24-in. and 24-in. by 24-in. sizes, the tiles boast marble veins reinforced with a special shine ink effect.
The Cosmopolitan collection of tile from Keraben is industrially inspired with a look reminiscent of the concrete floor in old factories. An anti-slip finish is available for the floor tiles, and available colors include beige, taupe, white, gray and graphite.
Hex XL Zelik from Onix recalls ancient ceramic-making cultures in a reinvented hexagonal Xl format. The shading effect and gloss finish comes in white (shown here), gray, emerald green and cobalt blue tones.
Designed by renowned furniture maker Francisco Segarra, Raku from Peronda draws inspiration from a pottery technique called raku. In raku, the pottery is coated in a metallic glaze, then fired in a special kiln and then covered in wood chips or slivers of paper for a unique look.
Grespania presents the Cuarzo Reno series of porcelain tiles, a white marble with rich tints and warm tones. The pieces display crystallization with a grayish background, enriched by a coppery surface veining. The series is available in a polished finish.
The Bryson Valley collection from American Olean offers an ultra-realistic barn wood look with authentic hardwood texture. These floors are available in an 8-in. by 48-in. porcelain tile to appeal to modern looks with longer and wider planks. Bryson Valley incorporates Reveal Imaging technology for realistic quality and TruEdge technology for tighter grout joints.
The Scirocco Collection from ARTO features 13 ancient quad designs inspired by the Arabian desert and Southern Italy. The tiles are hand silk-screened in a way that looks time worn and antique and are finished with hand-rubbed, rustic edges. At only 3/8-in. thick, Scirocco tiles can be used adjacent to wood or porcelain.
Swatches wall tile by Crossville is comprised of 16 versatile hues grouped into three color sets: Necessary Objects, Neutral Territory and Brilliant Deduction. Ten of the 16 colors are available in a satin or gloss finish, with the remaining six available in gloss only. Field tiles are available in 2-in. by 8-in., 4-in. by 8-in. 3-in. y 12-in. 6-in. by 6-in. and 3-in. by 6-in.
Onice Fantastico from Del Conca is an onyx stone with a reddish base crossed by traverse veins with shades like white, cream, hazelnut, brown and aqua green. This large-slab stone is part of the new Boutique Collection, which also includes Bloom and Calacatta Oro for surfaces with bold impact.
Lunada Bay Tile introduces new shapes in the ocean-inspired Shinju collection of ceramic tile. Shown here, Cambric Hex is a 2-in. by 2-in. hexagon mosaic that features a blend of smooth or ridged surfaces. Shinju is also newly available in Silhouette Mosaic, small playful squares that feature negative space to allow the grout to play a part in the design.
Made.In is Landmark’s elegant collection of cement-inspired surfaces, designed to provide a warm, contemporary feel to projects where matter is protagonist and in and out continuity required. It is available in a variety of colors and in monocaliber and rectified sizes.
Marazzi’s Coastal Effects collection is inspired by biophilic colorways and features molten glass mosaics. Geometric shapes abound in small and large picket and trellis patterns and are accented with antique mirror elements. Shown is the pearl colorway.
Metrobrick from Ironrock is a thin brick line that has expanded its color offering, which is seven hues and nine blends as part of the company’s Fast Ship program. The material is an offering of kiln-fired modular brick with a natural brick wire-cut finish, and it is available in a variety of sizes, textures, shapes and finishes.
The 2020 collection of Kantu Ceramics from QEP mixes traditional hand-decorating techniques with the latest digital printing technology. The designs feature random 3D patterns, warm metallics and classic geometric and organic shapes in contemporary color palettes.
Sicer introduces new versions of DRY-LUX calibrated grits on large-format slabs and different thicknesses – available for mirror-polished and dry applications. The scratch-proof series offers zero porosity, excellent digital color development and is a great choice for kitchen countertops.
ABK’s Atlantis collection of full-body porcelain tiles was inspired by volcanic stone and features neutral, dusty colors like the pictured smoke. Available in a variety of sizes, Atlantis is also offered in four finishes, including natural, lapped and two versions of hammered. It is suitable for floors, walls, countertops and furniture surfaces.
Denim from Appiani is offered in a variety of patterns/colors, including Oltremare (shown), and is suitable for walls and floors. The timeless mosaic collection was inspired by the apparel style icon and is applied to a glass fiber mesh.
Lims is a new collection of 3D wallpaper from Atlas Concorde. Emulating limestone, the graphics were inspired by materials from quarries located in different geographical regions. The main materials are French limestones (Hauteville), but there are also graphic inserts of Portuguese (Moleanos), Belgian (Blue de Vix), German (Jura), Italian (Vicenza stone) and Slovenian (Lipika) stones. The collection is available in ivory (shown), beige, gray and desert.
Blustyle by Cotto d-Este offers a variety of Italian ceramics in different finishes, colors and formats and made with stones, cement and wood. The company’s production process, which reduces raw material waste and uses renewable energy, is EMAS, ISO, Eco-Label and EPD certified. Three new series are available, including Green Wood (shown here), which is made up of porcelain stoneware slabs in three colors: ash (shown), oak and bay.
Ceramiche Caesar introduces the Anima Ever collection of porcelain stoneware in matte, polished and silk finishes with a contemporary take on classic marble. It is available in a variety of sizes and colors, including invisible light, apuan gold and luxury arabesque.
Marmoker by Casalgrande Padana is a collection of porcelain stoneware tiles that is inspired by nature and recreates the look of marble. The durable collection is suitable for floor and wall coverings in high-traffic settings, as it is resistant to wear and aggressive chemicals. It is shown here in Caribbean green and is offered in 47 additional colors.
Skyline by Ceramica Rondine is an interpretation of traditional brick offered in more modern colors. It’s 6mm thickness allows a quick installation even when it has to overlap to a previous material. The collection features a glossy surface suitable for residential or commercial settings.
Flaviker’s RE_TOUR collection of dry-pressed porcelain slabs reproduces the look of rustic French stones in large sizes for walls and floors. It is available in four colors, including fog, mud, ivory and rope (shown).
Panaria Ceramica introduces the Home collection of stone-effect products that offer the tactile features of cement. It is available in three colors – white, greige (shown) and gray ranges – and two sizes in both rectified and natural surfaces. An optional anti-slip exterior version is also available.
Frammenta from Saime Ceramiche is available in four colors – shown are perla and grigio – as well as matte and lucido finishes. The collection’s highlights are its grainy quality and the natural variations in color, and it is suitable for indoor and outdoor use on floors and walls.
Ceramica Sant’Agostino now offers the Spring collection of white body wall tiles and combines the look of concrete, wood, resin or stone. The double-fired tiles are LEED and Enviromentile certified and are available in two thicknesses.
