The SlideLine M sliding door fitting from Hettich features a one-track overlay option and doors that slide back and forth, merging into the background. Great for shelf systems and storage units, it is available in four different heights and in silver, white, black or champagne colors. There is also a two-track inset version, which can be used as a kitchen wall unit (pictured). The runner and guide profiles can be installed on different worktop materials and can be screwed on, stuck on or groove mounted.
Grass America has introduced the new “upside down” flap system, the Kinvaro D. This modern drop-down flap system creates a minimalistic look with clean lines while offering easy access into the cabinet contents. The system also offers an integrated damping system, providing a gentle opening that rests at 90 degrees.
Bella Innovative Modern Cabinetry is now using tool-less, glue-less Lockdowel fastening to gain 60 percent or more production capacity. A designer can create their choice of Lockdowel-fastened cabinetry, flooring, appliances, surfaces, window and door placement, textures and colors. Then the user can save their creation to work on later, view it in 3D or send it to a supplier and/or installer to do the job.
The THINSCAPE Performance Tops from Wilsonart is a European-inspired, versatile and highly durable, ultra-thin countertop. It combines large-scale marble looks with soft touch finishes within an impact-resistant slim slab to create a high-performance product.
Osborne Wood Products offers an electrical receptacle notching service to meet electrical application needs in island and table legs. The first step is drilling a hole through the center of the post, which allows electrical wiring to be inserted from the top or bottom. Next, a receptacle notch is added to the top block of the post, and finally, a standard box is added to the notch, which allows the user to choose the specific electrical application to be added to the box.
Quartz Composite is Formica Corp.’s first man-made 180fx pattern. Its pattern was inspired by the look of traditional quartz, and it is a true artistic composition using concrete and recycled glass. The Two-Way Travel Slide from Accuride International is designed for use in kitchen islands, dining or entertainment bars, or other cabinetry that benefits from two-sided access. Boasting full extension from the center point in both directions, the Two-Way Travel Slide is available 12-in, 14-in., 16-in. 18-in., 22-in, 24-in. and 28-in. sizes and comes in a clear zinc finish.
PaperStone is recycled paper turned into “stone.” The material is durable, less brittle and performs like most stone surfaces. However, it can be machined and field cut, so while there are the performance characteristics of stone, but a much more versatile and workable material. PaperStone can also be used for high wear rails in pool tables, outdoor skate ramps, exterior cladding, knife handles, cutting boards and more.
The T-Type Hinge from Titus Group is a concealed option with integrated soft closing. It offers tool-free mounting, and a 3Way snap-on plate allows it to be mounted in three directions – from the front, back or top. It ensures reliable door closing even if it is accidentally misaligned and features an intuitive adjustment procedure.
The LIN-X1000 door-opening system from Sugatsune features a lateral swing mechanism that allows the door to open sideways in a small radius and close flush to the wall. The system is great for small or tight spaces and allows for any artwork hanging beside it to remain unobstructed. The handle can be installed in any position and free-stop and soft-close features allow the door to be opened and closed in any position.
Elias Woodwork offers a dovetail drawer boxes for a variety of applications. They are available pre-finished, and you can assemble them yourself or have them shipped ready to install. Different price points are available, depending on the project, and optional accessories include garbage/recycling bins and cutlery/utensil inserts.
Blum’s new LEGRABOX profile offers three different motion technologies in one cabinet profile, which include integrated BLUMOTION soft close, the SERVO-DRIVE electrical motion support system and TIP-ON BLUMOTION, a mechanical solution that allows drawers to open with one touch. Electric or mechanical support systems are available.
Häfele is now offering new widths and finishes for the Kesseböhmer iMOVE Pull-Down Unit, which easily brings the contents of the cabinet down to the user. It is easy to install, and wherever the user leaves it – half-way down or all the way out – it will stay put.
Rev-A-Shelf’s Not-So-Lazy Susan Organizer features solid wood construction with a banded wood rim and seven adjustable long hooks. The kidney-shaped unit is designed for 33- and 36-in. corner base cabinets and includes a lower storage shelf with a built-in positioner stop and an upper organizer to hang cookware. The mid-level arrester provides unit stability and secures cookware separately to prevent damage.
Richelieu’s NEK RITE, BETA BLOC and XY customizable, wall-mounted wine pegs can store wine horizontally, and bottles rest securely against integrated silicone rings. The wine pegs can be made into any configuration.
Vauth-Sagel’s Planero is a tray shelving system with a flat, steel design. Its powdercoated steel plate is formed around an inlaid wooden shelf, which results in a flat design with invisible suspension points. The inserted floors can be removed for easy cleaning, and the system is available in champagne, lava grey and silver colors.
Danzer‘s Linea is a technical real-wood veneer that features a linear, rift-type look that offers depth and light reflections from the grain. It is suitable for larger surface areas that need a consistent appearance. The company presented established species, including European birch, American white oak and black walnut, as well as some new species, including black birch and fumed larch.
