The international jury of the Red Dot Product Design Award has awarded Kore Workstation Sinks with Gunmetal PVD Finish the distinction “Red Dot”, which stands for high design quality, in the category of Kitchen Sinks and Taps.

This newly released product line expands upon Kraus USA’s most popular and innovative series of kitchen sinks to offer greater design flexibility within the category of stainless steel sinks. At a time when consumers are spending more time at home than ever before, Kore workstations serve to meet the demand for purposeful designs that enhance the home experience.

Kore Workstations transform the way that consumers interact with their kitchens by turning the sink into a highly functional fixture suited for a wide variety of kitchen tasks. The integrated workstation ledge, which defines this sink style, is engineered to support an array of sliding accessory options that streamline every kitchen task – from meal prep to cleanup. Each sink comes with a premium acacia wood cutting board that allows you to slice and dice without losing an inch of counterspace. The accompanying roll-up dish drying rack allows you to rinse and dry dishes right over the sink – preventing pools of water on the kitchen counters and keeping the mess to a minimum. Serving boards and colanders are also available, further enhancing functionality.

This new iteration of the series adds a touch of color to the world of stainless steel with a highly durable PVD Gunmetal finish that creates an ultra-modern appearance. Closely matching the color of black stainless steel appliances, which have seen a surge in popularity over recent years, this finish allows consumers to create a cohesive look in their kitchen while still enjoying the trusted benefits of stainless steel. Available in a variety of sizes, the Kore Workstation with PVD Gunmetal finish is produced in topmount, undermount, and farmhouse mounting styles, giving consumers further control over the look of their kitchen.

The Red Dot Award for Product Design is one of the most rigorous and prestigious international design awards, with a long history of identifying the most innovative design, dating back as far as 1955 annually. The international panel of roughly 50 jurors is composed of specialists from a wide variety of sectors. They scrutinized the products entered in the competition guided by assessment criteria such as the product’s degree of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics and longevity.

The Kore Workstation Series with PVD Gunmetal Finish can be seen in the online exhibition on the Red Dot website beginning 21 June 2021. Starting 22 June 2021, The Kore Workstation Series with PVD Gunmetal Finish will also be included in the exhibition “Design on Stage” in the Red Dot Design Museum, Essen, where all of the award-winning products are showcased.
