Pantone recently announced its 2021 Colors of the Year – Ultimately Gray and Illuminating – as two hues shaping fashion, interior design, architecture and art in the unpredictable year ahead. These two independent colors highlight how different elements come together to support one another. Practical and solid but at the same time warming and optimistic, this union of the two colors is one of strength and positivity. KBB rounded up the products inspired by these colors to find out how brands are using these tones.

1STDIBS: Faye Toogood’s Roly-Poly Collection features distinctive and reassuringly chunky lines with rounded, welcoming shapes. This chair is one of 1stDibs’ best-selling production pieces. This furniture is available in ochre or concrete to achieve a Pantone-inspired look.

Bertazzoni: A statement range can help create a design focal point without overwhelming the kitchen, and options like Bertazzoni’s Professional Series Range in yellow can bring joy to any space. Whether creating a colorful kitchen or introducing a bright range into an otherwise neutral space, the Professional Series can help homeowners lean into the cheerful yellow Pantone is forecasting – and pairs well with stainless hoods or auxiliary appliances for a nod to Ultimately Grey.

Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens: Elements is the brand’s collaboration with architect and designer Daniel Germani. The modular, furniture-inspired collection empowers outdoor living spaces for any footprint, with a variety of sizes and appliance options available. Built to withstand any climate, Elements consists of stainless-steel modules and is available in dozens of powder coat finishes, including a yellow similar to Pantone‘s Color of the Year 2021 selection.

Cosentino: From the new Silestone Loft Series, Seaport channels the peacefulness of the weather-worn docks found in the seaside district of lower Manhattan. Similar to a dark, worn cement gray, as well as one of Pantone’s 2021 Colors of the Year, the subtle streaks of white blend in the background for a touch of contrast.

York Wallcoverings: Yellow and gray pair with light blue hues – namely Blue Jean Jacket, which York announced today as its own Color of the Year – to offer a soft, multidimensional look. Options like Shimmering Foliage and Peacock are ideal for updating a home to feel modern yet timeless.

Kohler: Get the look of Ultimately Gray with the rich thunder-gray hue of Kohler‘s signature Enameled Cast Iron. This classic deep gray can make a statement in a traditional, contemporary or transitional setting.

Arteriors: The Kitts Chair is upholstered in a plush, marigold velvet or mineral gray leather with welting details to accentuate the curves.

Legrand: Put the finishing touch on a Pantone-inspired room with signature wall plates from the Adorne Collection, which are available in several colors.

Big Chill: This Pantone-inspired 36-in. Retro Range in quartz gray has broom yellow knobs. Highlights include six burners, stainless-steel construction and an easy-to-clean sealed burner top. The stove is available in natural gas or propane.

Elmira Stove Works: Both its Elmira and Northstar lines are available in Ultimate Gray and Illuminating Pantone 2021 Colors of the Year as custom color options.
