Baldwin Hardware celebrates its 70th anniversary with a design competition. Architects, designers and students are encouraged to enter bold hardware designs. 

Baldwin’s Bold Design Award Competition seeks entries of any product related to hardware, such as a knob, lever, mail slot, cabinet pull or escutcheon, as well as technologies that might be found in these products. Submissions can also include new hardware uses. 

Baldwin will select three winning designs: one each from an architect, designer and student. Prizes include $15,000 in Baldwin Hardware and a trip for two to Baldwin’s 70 Years Bold Gala in Beverly Hills, Calif. for the architect and designer. A $5,000 cash award for the winning student designer can be used toward his/her education, and the student will also receive a trip for two to the 70 Years Bold Gala. The Baldwin Gala is Nov. 10, 2016, and the competition runs through Sept. 19, 2016.
