Gaggenau Inducts D.C. Chefs into Black Jacket Society

July 4, 2022

Gaggenau, the ultra-luxury brand for professional-grade home appliances and the Official Home Kitchen Appliance Partner of the Michelin Guide, announces the induction of three chefs of Michelin-starred Washington, D.C. restaurants into the Gaggenau Black Jacket Society. Gaggenau created this special recognition program to celebrate chefs whose restaurants have attained Michelin Guide status and who reflect the principles and philosophy of the Gaggenau brand.

On May 5, Gaggenau hosted its second event in D.C., at the French Ambassador’s Residence, where the following chefs were inducted into the society:

  • Chef Eric Ziebold, Métier/Kinship
  • Chef Yuan Tang, Rooster & Owl
  • Chef Johnny Spero, Reverie

“We are so pleased to welcome these three talented chefs into our Black Jacket Society,” said Skyler Stevenson, senior product, and marketing manager, Gaggenau U.S. “Forging a connection with some of the finest chefs in the world is important to our brand foundation. The members of the Gaggenau Black Jacket Society demonstrate our commitment to quality and hold us to their own extremely high standards of excellence.”

In 2022, Gaggenau will hold Black Jacket Society Events in four cities – Chicago; Washington, D.C.; Los Angeles and New York. Chefs of Michelin-starred restaurants, holding one, two or three stars will be vetted and evaluated on their ability to reflect the essence of the Gaggenau brand, as well as their culinary talent, cache and a commitment to classic elegance – both in their approach to cooking as well as life. Recognized chefs will receive a specially created black Bragard Professional Chef jacket embroidered with their name and the Gaggenau logo. Each will be invited to participate in a variety of VIP Gaggenau programs and events around the country and will be highlighted on Gaggenau‘s website.
