January 9, 2018

Hardware Resources, a designer, engineer and manufacturer of kitchen cabinet, bath and closet products, has acquired Task Lighting. Based in Kearney, Nebraska, Task Lighting manufactures under-cabinet and interior-cabinet LED Lighting, as well as Angle Power Strips, which provide power access beneath cabinets as an alternative to unsightly power outlets. Task Lighting products are primarily purchased by kitchen cabinet dealers and electrical wholesalers.

Along with Task Lighting, Hardware Resources’ expanded portfolio includes Jeffrey Alexander and Elements brands of cabinet knobs and pulls, bath hardware, vanities and mirrors.

“Hardware Resources is well known for high-quality and distinctive brands, and Task Lighting fits perfectly within our lineup of innovative solutions,” said Greg Gottlieb, CEO of Hardware Resources. “Task Lighting founders Ken and Linda Anderson and their team have built an outstanding offering of cabinet lighting and kitchen power strip products, and we know our customers will appreciate the quality, value and service Task Lighting brings to our family of product offerings.”

Task Lighting will continue to manufacture products from its Kearney, Nebraska, facility under the Task Lighting brand name.

“Our team is excited about joining Hardware Resources, whose size, strength and industry reputation will only help to further the growth of the Task Lighting brand of products,” said Ken Anderson, CEO of Task Lighting. “The industry can continue to expect the value and leadership they’ve come to trust but now with even more support for future product development and service expansion.”
