Masterbrand Cabinets Welcomes Martha Stewart

March 10, 2011

MasterBrand Cabinets recently welcomed Martha Stewart to its North Carolina facility, which employs 250 individuals to produce the Martha Stewart Living kitchens line. The cabinetry line, which launched at The Home Depot in September 2010, has proven popular, and the company expects to increase employment by more than 100 additional jobs as demand for the collection grows.

During her visit, Martha Stewart met dozens of the cabinet-makers who craft the cabinets that bear her name. “I visited MasterBrand Cabinets to see for myself that the products are of the high quality our customers expect from us and I am happy with what I saw. I was glad to have the opportunity to thank the skilled men and women at MasterBrand Cabinets who make these beautiful, innovative and practical cabinets,” said Martha Stewart. “Our designs are inspired by the kitchens in my homes and in those of my friends and colleagues at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. It is exciting to see them brought to life here in Kinston with such attention to quality and detail.”

“Our entire team truly enjoyed Martha’s visit,” said Greg Stoner, president of MasterBrand Cabinets. “The excitement level continues to build at the Kinston facility since the first order was received on September 1, 2010.  We’re pleased we’ve been able to increase our workforce to fulfill the promise of the Martha Stewart brand, and we’re looking forward to future hiring as the demand continues.”
