Miele and Riedel Join Forces
April 28, 2011
Miele and Riedel Crystal announced a strategic global partnership at a recent event, held at Miele’s Manhattan Gallery in the Architects and Designers Building. After conducting laboratory testing and research, Riedel will endorse Miele as the ideal dishwashers for the brand’s Austrian and German-made crystal stemware. Miele will also support Riedel as its preferred glassware brand.
“Riedel’s luxury glassware requires regular, safe and effective cleaning to ensure maximized long-term quality and appearance,” said Maximilian J. Riedel, CEO of Riedel USA. Laboratory testing showed that Riedel glasses have an estimated lifespan of 1,500 washing cycles when washed properly in a Miele dishwasher. This is the equivalent of the average number of washes during a 20-year timeframe. Miele dishwashers offer the patented Perfect GlassCare function, which automatically ensures that water hardness is ideal for the task of gently cleaning glasses. Additionally, the Miele 3D cutlery tray and the new basket design of generation G 5000 safely secure the position of stemware in the upper and lower basket.
