November 27, 2023

Modulnova, the international kitchen, bath, and living manufacturer, has arrived in the Design District located at 3925 Federal Highway. Offering modern kitchen, bath and minimalist cabinetry design with its precise details and cutting-edge technology, Modulnova Miami Studio is poised to make an impressive impact in the Miami market. This new U.S. location is led by industry insiders and co-founders Carlos Bustinza, Brett Sugerman, Giselle Sugerman and Veronica Bennett.

Modulnova will welcome design professionals, builders and private clients looking for innovative integrated solutions for kitchen, bath and living designs. The studio’s transversal system is divided into three collections favoring a fluid interconnection between rooms, allowing clients and designers the ability to realize cohesive design concepts.

“Modulnova will redefine traditional kitchen design,” says Bustinza, who has more than three decades in the kitchen and bath industry. “There is a common language of details, finishes and materials.”

The Italian brand proposes designing major interior elements under one system eliminating the need for multiple contractors and trades to complete different aspects of a project.

A visit to the studio is an impactful introduction into the world of Modulnova’s refined aesthetic. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by a sleek Brera shelving system with a lounge area designed in a Milanese style. Immediately, one notices the juxtaposition of the substantial black satin shelves against the Milltech graphite raw panels. This system seamlessly connects to beautiful boiserie in the same Milltech finish. Beneath, oversized SKILL drawers in super matte black are topped with graphite raw Gres porcelain countertops. A floating BLADE cabinet in an anthracite metallic dust finish features a dynamic up-swinging door with soft closing mechanism that creates a grand reveal.

In the foreground, an impressive 11.5-ft. Hong Kong Rovere Fumo Wood table with slim steel base brings in a natural wood element. The protagonist of the studio is the kitchen, which features a Ghost door system in MH6 Milltech Rovere Tivoli that opens to reveal a moody super matte black lacquer and gray Gres interior. A Float smoked glass upper unit features Gres back panels, smoked glass shelves and LED lighting both inside and out. Concealed in this kitchen are a Liebherr refrigerator, Miele dishwasher, double trash receptacles, soft-touch drawers and a Wolf speed oven.

“Modulnova truly brings the possibility to complete projects using all the material elements within its line, facilitating the design, installation and end stages of projects,” said Bennett. “By using a complete system of superior components and high-end finishes, one has the potential to think and efficiently explore their integration within a holistic concept.”

Within the meeting spaces at the Studio are Milltech Rovere Tivoli desks with super-matte black, gray boiserie and matching sliding storage boxes that show how the lines can be incorporated into other areas. Lastly, the powder room features a Millerieghe natural stone pedestal sink in graphite raw finish complemented by a backlit mirror that notches precisely around the pedestal sink.

“We wanted the studio to represent the ‘Made in Italy’ approach and showcase what the brand is known for around the world while meeting Miami’s lifestyle demands,” stated Brett and Giselle Sugerman. “As designers, we recognize the value of the integrated design and the powerful aesthetic that Modulnova presents.”
