Save Energy With Lutron’s iPad App
February 18, 2011
Lutron Electronics now offers an iPad app for its RadioRA 2 total light control system, which is designed to remotely control lights, shades, temperature and appliances. The application is available for purchase on iTunes.
The app adds both a touch of convenience and the benefits of saving energy. It allows homeowners to monitor and control their system while away from home, which is ideal for rental properties, as well as enact a temporary, energy-saving ”green” mode that reduces light levels and turns off unneeded appliances. The application is also able to control multiple homes.
Introduced in 2009, the RadioRA 2 total light control system is scalable to 200 devices and integrates with other home automation systems, including Lutron shade and drapery systems. The system utilizes Clear Connectä wireless technology for reliability.
