Wolf Appliance, Inc. Enhances Appliances to Include Wider Btu Range
August 11, 2015
Wolf Appliance, Inc. has recently enhanced its cooking appliances to include a wider Btu range. Wolf dual-fuel ranges, range tops and gas cooktops now feature up to 33 percent more Btu output than before with options of 18,000 and 20,000 maximum Btus, compared to 15,000 previously.
A Btu, also known as a British thermal unit, is the amount of energy needed to heat or cool one pound of water by one degree Fahrenheit. The higher the Btu output, the more powerful the heating or cooling system. With higher Btu capability, Wolf’s new burner enhancements offer owners greater control over a wide range of heat output for flawless, restaurant-quality sears and up to 25 percent faster boil times. At the same time, the lower Btu output allows users to cook with a small, yet constant flame that does not interrupt cooking by cycling on and off, for gentle simmering of soups and sauces. Owners can cook with confidence knowing each dish will turn out just as they intended. With a range of Btu outputs, sauce warms low-and-slow, rice simmers without burning, fresh vegetables sauté crisply and colorfully and salmon sears on high – all at the same time.
